People often recognize visual representations faster than reading words. I wanted to create a series of cafe food pictograms that are simple, clean and are easily identifiable. I focused more on the visual hierarchy than the words. The four pictogram I've created are flan, cup of coffee or tea, cupcake, and ice-cream sundae.
To further explore these pictograms, I've created and brand Sunset Café. Sunset Café is a place where people can come in, relax, and have a snack. Using the flan as the main logo, the other three pictograms were used to categories the three main food groups the cafe has to offer. They are drinks, pastries, and ice-creams.

CO2 Emission Infographic
Global warming is happening and it is happening really fast. Though most are aware of this catastrophe, there aren't enough people who are take individual actions to help reduce the process of global warming.
My goal was to create an info-graphic with visuals and statistics in hopes of promoting awareness about carbon emissions. Since cities have the most CO2 activities, I chose to place the info-graphic in common public areas , such as the subway platform, sidewalk and public staircases. The goal is to have individuals who pass by the info-graphic to stop and read the statistics and information.

US Currency Re-Designed
A re-design of the U.S currency, which depicts the order of how the United States expanded from the east to the west coast. The Current US currency are too similar in sizes and colors. People often give the wrong amount to cashiers or customers due to this design problem. It is even more difficult to the visually impaired individuals since the sizes are all the same. In order to resolve that issue, using inspirations from what other countries had done with their money, I've created a more sufficient currency design with a story behind them.
The lowest currency represents the start of the 13 colonies from the May Flower, so it will be the shortest out of all the bills. The twenty bill shows Louis and Clark's expedition that lead to the Louisiana purchase, which is about a quarter of an inch taller than the five dollar bill. Lastly, manifest destiny, the rush to the west, so the hundred bill would be the tallest out of the bills. The front design has all the expansion elements, while the back are places that are associated with the regions the front is referring to.

Using an article written by Daniel Raphael, I've created a magazine spread that emits a similar atmosphere of a video game. Sometime magazine spreads can be a little text heavy, and the balance between text and image is off. This can effect the viewers interests and flip through rates.
My goal is to create a spread that would pull in the viewer and make them stay on the page. I based off my layout off of the article I chose, which was called "The Impact of Video Games on This Generation." I want the viewers to feel as if they are actually playing a video game while they read the article.

An accordion timeline of all the portable consoles made by nintendo. I wanted to show how much these consoles had evolved over the years, from the very first Game & Watch to the 2DS. Additionally, in order to create an even more nostalgic atmosphere while viewers read through the timeline, I paired each console with a Nintendo game that is popular during that specific year.
